Altra Mens Lone Peak 6 Trail Running Shoe

Legendary amongst thru-hikers on the Appalachian trail the Lone Peak is in part responsible for the growing popularity of walkers wearing running shoes rather than boots.
The Loan Peak has a little more cushioning (25mm) than the Superior (21mm), an integrated stone guard for more protection and a grippier outsole for more traction. While it can't be classified as a minimalist (barefoot) shoe because of the cushioning underfoot, it still offers a wide toe box for toes to splay and zero drop (flat with no heel) allowing our feet to function naturally.

Returns Policy

All items must be returned in perfect condition, unworn with tags on and in original packaging. For the return of high value goods, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service, as we cannot be responsible for non-delivery of returned items. In the case of goods that were faulty or damaged when despatched, your postal costs will be refunded to you.
Shipping
The delivery charges for your order are calculated in accordance with our delivery rates as set out on our site, and are shown separately on the order confirmation. Our aim is to despatch your order the next working day. Please note that all despatch and delivery times are approximate. Many products are sent via our approved carrier and must be signed for. The standard delivery within the UK is a 48 hour service usually sent via Royal Mail or Evri, so orders should be with you within 3-4 working days. If any products are damaged on arrival, please notify this to the carrier at the time if possible. After many years of wearing shoes that are too tight, such as Vans etc and cycling shoes that literally crush your toes together, I went to the doctor with foot pain, was told I had Hallux Valgus. This led me to dig out my old Birkenstock shoes which had a wide toe box and this was a gamechanger. I tried getting into the Barefoot thing but didn't like the very thin soles, OK in the countryside but too harsh for day to day wear (for me personally). Then found these, they are perfect! Wide toe box, zero drop sole but still cushioned, mega comfy and (I think) look great. Top buying experience too, it was an internet purchase but from looking at the site, it looks like a shop run by actual human beings which is a bonus and led me to enquire about sizing, which I received from Ali and was spot on. All good! 5 Stars.
